How To Root Your Galaxy Note Running Android 4.0.3 ICS firmware ZSLPF And Install Recovery.

Have you already installed ZSLPF firmware, the latest firmware leaked for your Galaxy Note? We’re bringing you a better way to enjoy that freshly leaked goodness, that is, through rooting it.
Rooting the ZSLPF firmware is now possible and easy to do using CF-Root Kernel. You can gain root access when you install this kernel and it comes with ClockworkMod Recovery
, which you can use to install custom ROMs and scripts.

Requirements  :

  • Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000
  • You should have a computer running on Windows.
  • Enable USB debugging on your Galaxy Note.
  • Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data.
  • Make sure that your battery has at least 50% charge to avoid interruption due to power loss.
  • Uninstall Samsung KIES if you have it on your computer.
  • Install the proper drivers for your mobile device on your computer: 32-bit (x86) Windows | 64-bit (x64) Windows
  • Download the CF-Root Kernel (CF-Root-SGN_ZS_OZS_LPF-v5.3-CWM5.zip, 6.5 MB) on your computer.
  • Download Odin3 1.85 (Odin 1.85.zip, 199 kB) on your computer.
      Instructions :
 
  1. Extract the contents of Odin 1.85.zip to any folder on your computer.
  2. Extract the TAR file from CF-Root-SGN_ZS_OZS_LPF-v5.3-CWM5.zip to your computer.
  3. Turn off your phone and make sure that it is not connected to your computer.
  4. Boot your Galaxy Note into Download Mode by holding down the Volume Down button,  Home button, and Power button. When you see a “Warning!” message on the screen, press the Volume Up key to enter Download Mode.
  5. Run Odin by double-clicking on Odin3 v1.85.exe.
  6. Click the PDA Tab on Odin and select the CF-Root-SGN_ZS_OZS_LPF-v5.3-CWM5.tar file.
  7. Connect your Galaxy Note to your computer and you should see an “Added!” message indicating that the device is recognized.  If you do not see an “Added!” message, reinstall the drivers or check that USB debugging is enabled.
  8. Click START to start flashing the kernel and wait for it to finish.
  9. Once the flashing is done, your device will automatically reboot. You will get a “PASS” message indicating that the flashing is successful.  However, if you get a “FAIL” message, disconnect the phone from the computer, close Odin, remove your phone’s battery, re-insert the battery, and start over from step 3.
  10. REMINDER: Again, never wipe data, perform a factory reset, or reformat partitions from within recovery to avoid bricking your phone while it’s on firmware ZSLPF
  11. .Now your phone is rooted sucessfully.
Firmware version ZSLPF has a bug, with the potential to damage your SD card and brick your Galaxy Note if you wipe data, do a factory reset, or reformat partitions from recovery. So, to protect your device DO NOT wipe data, perform a factory reset, or reformat partitions from recovery after installing the ZSLPF firmware.
